ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Ohio State shot 52 percent from the arc making 10 three-pointers as they held Michigan to just 37 percent shooting taking the win in Ann Arbor, 74-61. The top 25 matchup was a Blue Out for Michigan in front of almost 6,000 fans as the Wolverines fell to 20-7 and 10-6 in the Big Ten.
Leigha Brown shelled out 36 points with nine rebounds going 11-of-11 at the line. Michigan was only 7-of-21 from three-point range for 33 percent.

With only one lead change in the game, Ohio State controlled the flow from the beginning after UM had a 5-0 lead. Brown hit a three-pointer and then Maddie Nolan connected on a jumper in the first minute and half. Brown moved UM’s lead to eight, 10-2 by 6:42 and had a seven-point lead, 12-5, with 6:04 left. OSU ended the quarter on a 19-5 run for a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter. UM came within three in the second quarter, 30-27, and had the OSU lead down to one, 38-37, with 1:28 to go on a Jordan Hobbs three-pointer. OSU went into the half with a four-point lead, 41-37.
OSU’s lead stayed in the single digits in the third quarter but was moved back to eight points, 51-43, with 2:55 left. The Buckeyes had a seven-point lead, 55-48, at the end of the quarter. With 7:37 to go in the game, OSU took a 12-point lead, 62-50, and by the three minute mark it was a 14-point lead, 67-53. OSU had the lead to 15 points before downing the Wolverines, 74-61.
Michigan will host Rutgers on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7:00 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
