LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wants to remind everyone that spring migration is right around the corner and winter is birding in full swing. That means good news for bird watchers. In fact, eight Michigan state parks have the tools to enjoy this lifelong recreational pursuit.
“Explorer packs,” are available for bird watchers to borrow at certain recreation areas. These packs are stuffed with tools and activities for outdoor learning. Anyone who wants to borrow an explorer pack can pick them up at several state parks and recreation areas, including Bay City, Sleepy Hollow, Pinckney, Port Crescent, Wilderness, Warren Dunes, Tawas Point and Waterloo.
