DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Sacramento poured out 38 points in the third quarter after the Pistons had a 63-55 lead to take over the game going forward for the nine-point win, 122-113, over Detroit. Detroit is now 8-23 and 4-10 at home.
Bojan Bogdanovic led the team with 22 points as Jalen Duren produced a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Saddiq Bey added 14 points as both Marvin Bagley III and Isaiah Steward both produced 13 points and Killian Hayes 11 points. Detroit shot 45.9 percent from the floor, 34.5 percent from the arc, and 80 percent from the line.

Detroit had a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter as Kevin Knox III scored with 30.1 seconds left to make it 29-25. Sacramento hit a three-pointer with 14.1 seconds left to pull within one, 29-28. Alec Burks made three free throws at the 10:34 mark in the second quarter for a 35-31 lead. Sacramento tied the game at 47 at the 4:52 mark but Hayes canned a three-pointer 30 seconds later to retake the lead, 50-47. The Kings went up, 51-50, at 3:39 and then Detroit retook the lead, 55-53, on a Duren all-oop dunk from Jaden Ivey at 2:41. Bogdanovic then put the Pistons up by six, 61-54, on two free throws with 1:13 to go. Burks made it an eight-point lead, 63-55, on a Burks pull-up shot just under a minute left in the half. That is what the score was heading into the locker room.
Sacramento started the third quarter on a 18-2 run to go up, 72-65. The Kings never gave up the lead again. Detroit came within five, 86-81, on a Burks 13-foot jumper at 1:27 but the Kings took the third quarter, 93-86.
Knox III tipped in a shot at 10:21 to pull within three, 95-92, but the Kings scored the next six points for a 101-92 lead. Stewart had a three-pointer at the 7:24 mark to come within three, again, 101-98, as that is as close as the Pistons would come the rest of the game falling, 122-113.
