EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Earning his third honor this year as the Big Ten Star of the Week, Dylan St. Cyr gained the award after splitting the series with Michigan. St. Cyr, from Northville, Mich., had a combined 47 saves in the games vs. no. 6-7 Michigan.

On Friday in East Lansing, he earned the win over the Wolverines, 2-1, with 22 saves. Traveling to Ann Arbor on Saturday, he had 25 saves but lost, 2-1. For the season, he shares the Big Ten lead with a .925 save percentage and has a 2.43 goals against average. He has 11 wins on the year which is third in the Big Ten and ties his career high.

The third Star of the Week award is the most for St. Cyr since John Lethemon record four awards in the 2019-20 season.

MSU is currently 12-7-1 and won’t play until Dec. 27-28 taking a 15-day hiatus for exams and a holiday break. Their 12 wins matches their total from last season and they have been nationally ranked for five straight weeks reaching as high as 11th. They will face Ferris State in the first round of the Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids on Dec. 27.
