ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Clutch kicker Jake Moody has been a huge reason that Michigan is in the Big Ten Championship games. One of those top moments came against Illinois kicking four field goals including a last second kick for the win. Because of his talent, he is one of three finalists for the Lou Groza Award as the top kicker in the nation. He is up for the award along with Christopher Dunn from NC State and Joshua Karty from Stanford.
Moody is trying to repeat as the top kicker after winning the award in 2021. If he can win the 2022 award he will only be the second player to win it multiple times joining Florida State’s Sebastian Janikowski.
