LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Although it officially opened to the public in July after two-and-a-half years of construction, Heritage Hall at the Michigan Capitol in Lansing was officially dedicated on Tuesday.
The new 40,000 square-foot underground building at the Capitol will offer people tours, space for legislative events and a skylight that shows the Capitol dome.

Officials say an upwards of 300,000 people visit the Capitol each year, with many of them being elementary school students.
