ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Playing in Brooklyn, N.Y., #20 Michigan lost in the Legends Championship game, 87-62, to Arizona State. The loss was the first for Wolverines as they are now 3-1 on the year.

Arizona State’s fast paced offense took over from the beginning as Michigan fell behind early, 5-0. Just five minutes into the game, ASU had a 10-point lead, 15-5. By the 7:49 mark, ASU went ahead by 20 points, 31-11, as Michigan couldn’t keep pace with them. By halftime, Michigan was trailing, 46-28.

By 8:56 in the second half, ASU had a 28-point lead, 71-43, and made it a 32-point lead, 78-46 with 6:22 left. Michigan brought the lead down to 25 by the buzzer, 87-62.

Hunter Dickinson led the team with 14 points while Jett Howard had 12 points. Michigan was 4-of-22 from the arc and shot just 33 percent overall from the floor. ASU shot a phenomenal 60 percent from the floor and 57 percent from three-point land.

Michigan will host Ohio on Sunday November 20 at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
