FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Flint favorite Halo Burger is releasing a burger on Tuesday that the company says is the “ultimate Midwest sandwich.”

“The Wandering Michigander Burger” starts with a Halo Burger QP quarter-pound patty, of course. It is topped with Wisconsin cheese curds, cheddar cheese, bacon, pickles and ranch.

The burger is available from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, and is a collaboration between Halo Burger and social media influencer “The Wandering Michigander.”

Halo Burger isn’t just promoting “The Wandering Michigander.” Since Michigan is home to many avid hunters and the state is in the thick of hunting season, Halo Burger is giving away free Mossy Oak hats while supplies last to anyone who shows a valid hunting Michigan hunting license and purchases a premium combo.

In addition, the hats also come with a 10% discount off any Halo Burger food purchase through the end of 2022.

Halo Burger has been a Flint institution for nearly 100 years. The restaurant relies on local ingredients and the menu boasts Michigan-based brands such as Vernors ginger ale, Koegel’s hot dogs, and Sanders Bumpy Cake.
