DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – On the road in Boston, Detroit couldn’t get their offense going as they lost the Bruins, 5-1. Boston scored three goals in the third period after Detroit cut the lead to one, 2-1, in the second. Detroit is now 3-2-2 with eight points.
“We had some opportunities and hit some posts with some looks there. Sometimes, your power play isn’t going to score, but you need it to play well to get momentum. There was a couple in there that we needed that just didn’t click for us tonight,” said head coach Derek Lalonde.

Boston went up 2-0 with a score in the first period at the 13:42 mark and then their second goal came with 11:53 marked in the second period. Adam Erne cut the lead to one, 2-1, with 18:49 on the clock taking a loose puck and sending it high into the net.
The game was put away in the third period in less than two minutes as Boston scored goals at 2:55, 3:30, and 4:34 to make it 5-1.
Detroit is back at home on October 31 when they host Minnesota.
