DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Commercial vehicle maker VIA Motors is moving their corporate headquarters from Utah to Auburn Hills.  The move is expected to create 300 high paying jobs. The company says the Orem, Utah facility will serve as a regional hub for its vehicle design and testing.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation said in a memo the jobs would pay an average of just under $2,500 per week. The company will also have a research and development tech center on their property.
EV maker Ideanomics purchased VIA Motors last summer for $630 million.
Via Motors, founded 12 years ago, designs and manufactures electric trucks and vans for last and middle-mile delivery.
