LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The National Education Association (NEA), the largest teachers’ union in the country which includes a chapter in Michigan, is promoting an “I’m Here” badge to virtue signal to others that “you are a safe person to discuss LGBTQ+ issues.”

According to its website, the NEA went on to say, “Affirming LGBTQ+ youth couldn’t be easier than by identifying yourself as a safe and supportive person.”

In addition, a list of NEA Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender-Queer Caucus members can be found here, with several living in Michigan.

As the information made the rounds on social media, people did not shy away from their shock.

One commenter wrote on Facebook, “Gee, is it any wonder why Michigan schools are ranked 34th in the nation? Let’s keep letting unions dictate what is taught in the classrooms.”

Another wrote, “So when they said they were coming for the kids…they meant it.”

In addition, the minor-attracted crowd has not gained traction in the establishment media, but there are groups committed to its legitimacy.  One commentor brought this to light.

“It’s because the pedophiles are running the show. They want to group themselves with the lgbtq+ as ‘minor attracted’ rather than pedophiles. Evil, in its most purest form, exists and propagates on the failures of man who then allow its true intentions to hide behind the veil of benevolence and security. All about creating normalized behavior.”

The issue of gender identity and sexual orientation has found its way into Michigan’s upcoming election. Attorney General Dana Nessel, who claimed after-the-fact that she said the comments in jest, promoted “a drag queen in every school” at a civil rights conference this summer.

In addition, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has not responded to Michigan News Source’s questions regarding why she and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist stood with a woman wearing a sheer top which exposed the woman’s nipples at a Pride event in Detroit.

Michigan’s election is November 8.
