PORT HURON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Port Huron will host the newly anticipated MI New Favorite Snack competition to determine which small business will win a $30,000 cash prize, a distribution contract with All Star Services, and the title.
Twenty small businesses from across Michigan are competing in the event hosted by the Blue Water Area Chamber that will occur on Sept. 17 in the downtown Port Huron area along the shores of the St. Clair River at Vantage Point.

“Michigan has such a rich history in agriculture, food and produce, and this contest will bring special attention to those small, new and emerging entrepreneurs,” said President of the Blue Water Area Chamber Thelma Castillo.
Applicants must be headquartered in Michigan, have no more than 10 employees at the time of entry, carry appropriate licensing and insurance, and have appropriately packaged products available for consumer purchase.
While the first place team will garner a $30,000 cash prize and All Star Services contract, the second and third place teams will receive $15,000 and $5,000 prizes respectively.
Families and Foodies are invited to attend between 10 am and 2 pm to sample the various snacks and vote on their favorite.
