KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Making the ESPN Top 10 plays for a kick against Wisconsin, Western Michigan’s Jonathan Robinson nailed the game winning goal with one-second left for the 2-1 win. It was his first goal at WMU as a transfer from Marquette University. The win is one of the biggest in program history.
With 1,600 fans at home, Matt Lockwood started the play receiving a pass by the sideline. He then lofted the ball into the box as a running Robinson ran under it and sailed the game winning goal in.

Robinson said in the post-game presser, “It’s definitely crazy and felt really good. Our fans were really amazing and I hope the fans continue to come to these Bronco games because this is what it’s all about and I am glad I got to share it with my family, teammates, and fans.
It was the second win in four days over a Big Ten program as they also defeated Michigan State on September 1, 1-0, in East Lansing, Mich. Dylan Sing scored early in the 13th minute and then WMU held onto the win with a strong defense. They only allowed four MSU shots with none on goal.
WMU is now 7-0 against Big Ten programs and will face Northwestern on Friday.
