ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Stepping away from athletics for a fundraising event on Sunday, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh voiced his opinion about human life. He said, “In God’s plan, each unborn human truly has a future filled with potential, talent, dreams, and love.”

Talking at the Inn at St. John’s for the Plymouth Right to Life, he and his wife, Sarah, helped raise funds for several anti-abortion charities in southeast Michigan. Harbaugh has seven children and was influenced by his parents about abortion. He says, “Passions can make the process messy, but when combined with respect, it ultimately produces the best outcomes. This process (Roe vs. Wade) has been passionate and messy, but I have faith in the American people to ultimately develop the right policies and laws for all lives involved.”

Roe vs. Wade has brought tension amongst both sides, politically, with riots and hateful words. Politicians have no idea on how to work together during this chaotic time tossing words at each other to appease their own party. Why not have a football coach help during this time and bring people together?

Harbaugh, who has been a head coach in the NFL and at Power 5 programs, knows how to bring teams together. In the time of disparity like it is now, the United States needs a person to bring people together and not divide them. Harbaugh maybe a person to start with. Only time will tell if people are willing to listen and work together.

He says, “I love life. I believe in having a loving care and respect for life and death. My faith and my science are what drives these beliefs in me … I believe in having the courage to let the unborn be born.”

The event raised more than $140,000 and was sold-out.
