ALLENDALE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Ryan Kelley, one of the five GOP gubernatorial candidates appearing on the August 2 primary ballot, announced he’s chosen a running mate.
Kelley chose Jamie Swafford, a former Ethnic Vice Chair of the Michigan Republican Party who boasts a career in law enforcement, as his Lt. Governor pick.

“Jamie is incredible,” said Kelley. “She is a voice of freedom that has been traveling across our great state. She has been spreading the message of freedom, hope and prosperity. I am proud that she accepted my invitation.”
Swafford, a former Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputy, said she is honored.
“Thank you Ryan, for your confidence in me. I will not let you down,” Swafford said.
