GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – With three weeks to go until Michigan’s primary election, a new poll commissioned by MIRS News found GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon opening a strong 11-point lead over the field.
The poll shows Dixon with 26% of the vote, followed by Ryan Kelley (15%), Kevin Rinke (13%), and Garrett Soldano (13%).

Ralph Rebandt picked up one percent while 33 percent remain undecided.
The poll was conducted July 7-8 by Lansing-based Mitchell Research & Communications.
Pollster Steve Mitchell noted in his memo that “While her opponents have stayed in almost the same position as they were two and a half weeks ago, Dixon has taken off.”
This appears to be another feather in Dixon’s cap. She has secured several major endorsements including Right-to-Life PAC of Michigan, the Police Officers Association of Michigan, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Associated Builders & Contractors of Michigan, former Governor John Engler, U.S. Representatives Bill Huizenga & Lisa McClain, former Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus, and twenty Michigan legislators.
Michigan’s primary election is August 2; the general election is November 8.
