LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The number of students at Michigan’s 15 public universities has dropped since 2019.
Enrollment at those schools has fallen 6.3 percent, which is 17,5000 students. The data is compared to the fall of 2019, which is the semester before the COVID-19 pandemic hit Michigan.
Only one state college, the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus, saw enrollment rise in the last two years. Enrollment rose 4.5 percent.
