LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has escalated her push to get all Michigan school districts to offer in-person instruction. She stopped short of demanding it during Wednesday’s press conference. She also did not issue an executive order, as she’s done with other sectors of the state for the past 11 months.

Whitmer called resuming classroom instruction “crucial” and said remote-only learning would hurt Michigan’s economy.
