LANSING, Mi (Great Lakes News) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced a new recovery plan Tuesday she says will help reopen the state.
The Michigan COVID recovery plan will use $5 billion in federal funds to provide grants to businesses and school districts.

Whitmer said she is focused on getting K-12 students back in the classroom, though many private schools across the state have never shutdown and have had little to no COVID-19 transmission.
