LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Former GOP Congressman Mike Rogers, who lost by a narrow margin to U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D) in 2024, has entered the race for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat.
“For too long we’ve been represented by two-faced politicians who say they’re moderates but vote as radicals when they get elected,” Rogers said in a campaign video which shows pictures of outgoing U.S. Senator Gary Peters and Slotkin in the background. “That ends now,” he said.

Rogers appeared on The Steve Gruber Show on Monday morning and said encouraging early voting will be a big part of his campaign. “We’re going to take full advantage of that going into this cycle to make sure that Republican voters and Independents and democrat who want to change the future show up and vote early,” Rogers told Gruber.
State Rep. Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak) entered the U.S. Senate race several weeks ago.
