ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Winning the program’s seventh national championship, No. 2 Michigan scored 332.224 points, holding off No. 3 Stanford (332.061) by 0.163 points. Fred Richard and Paul Juda won individual national championships, helping the Wolverines to win the title.

Coming down to the final routine of the vault, Juda took his final rotation and delivered a 13.966, securing the victory. Richard won the individual all-around with an 84.264, and Juda took the parallel bars with a season-high 14.200.

Juda finished second in the all-around (82.164), and Evgeny Siminiuc was third in the parallel bars (14.066). Carson Eshleman and Richard also tied for second on the high bar at 13.766.

Overall, Michigan had seven athletes combined for 17 All-American awards as Richards was All-America in six events and the all-around.
