DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – To continue developing its defensive philosophy, Detroit selected Ohio State defensive lineman Tyleik Williams. He was the eighth defensive lineman and fifth defensive tackle taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Williams played four years at Ohio State, collecting 11.5 sacks and 137 tackles, and winning the 2025 national championship with the nation’s no. 1 defense. He earned All-Big 10 honors all four years, being honorable mention twice (2021, 2022), second team in 2023, and third team in 2024. He was an All-American in 2023 on the second team and graduated from Ohio State in December with a degree in the sports industry.
