Grand Valley State University dominated California State-Dominguez Hills, 70-58, in Pittsburgh, Pa., claiming their second national championship in program history. It is the second national championship for GVSU, which last won in 2005-06.
Rylie Bisballe led the team with 13 points and six rebounds as the Tournament MVP. MacKenzie Bisballe and Nicole Kamin were All- Tournament. Bisballe had 14 points in the championship game, and Kamin added six rebounds and three assists with three points. Ellie Droste scored 11 points.

GVSU earned a program-best 38 wins, winning the GLIAC regular season and tournament championships and the Midwest Regional Tournament. In 37 games, GVSU won by double digits, with a scoring margin of 30.3.
CSUDH started the game with a 7-2 lead just four minutes in, but a 7-0 run by GVSU put the Lakers on top, 9-7. The game was tied at 11 when GVSU finished the quarter on a 6-1 run for a 17-12 lead. GVSU continued their offensive run into the second quarter with a 9-1 and took as large as a 38-19 lead before a 17-point lead at the half.
GVSU started the third quarter on a 9-0 run, pushing their lead to 47-21. At the end of the quarter, CSUDH pulled to within 15, 53-38. CSUDH made a run in the fourth quarter, coming within 10 points, but GVSU nailed their free throws for the historic win.
The seniors at GVSU won 145 games, the most by any graduating class. They won four GLIAC regular and three tournament championships, two Midwest Regional Tournaments, and one national championship.
