WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – The Biden administration is reportedly under fire for suppressing a federal study on liquefied natural gas (LNG). The reason? According to an exclusive report from the Daily Caller News Foundation, the study’s findings appear to conflict with the administration’s push for stricter green-energy initiatives.

Department of Energy (DOE) insiders with the Trump administration have revealed that the Biden- Harris administration shelved a Department of Energy report. The findings showed that LNG’s environmental and economic impacts were significantly less severe than previously advertised and, in fact, showed that LNG exports would actually bring down global emissions by displacing more polluting sources of energy abroad, according to the report.

In simpler terms: the Biden-Harris administration didn’t like what the scientists found, so they halted the study, removed key sections and later released a final version more to their liking that supported their claims that LNG exports would increase global emissions.
Transparency, schm-ansparency.
The first draft produced (referred to as a “working” document) undermined the narrative that was pushing the White House’s anti-fossil fuel agenda. According to anonymous sources within the DOE, keeping this information under wraps helped justify their temporary pause on LNG exports.
When the pause was announced, Biden said in a statement, “While MAGA Republicans willfully deny the urgency of the climate crisis, condemning the American people to a dangerous future, my Administration will not be complacent. We will not cede to special interests.”
In another statement, Granholm claimed, “In every scenario, increases in LNG exports would lead to increases in global net emissions.”

The crackdown on LNG had been central to the Biden-Harris administration’s green-energy push, with critics arguing that this suppressed study proves the administration’s LNG policies are more about politics than planet-saving.
In short, the Biden-Harris administration might have preached transparency and science-based policies, but it seems they’re only transparent about what aligns with their chosen narrative. Since the original study didn’t fit neatly into their climate agenda, it disappeared.
