LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia) can add another notch too her far-left stance: “undocumented friends.”

Pohutsky, who publicly boasted last week about a “private” decision to sterilize herself because of President Donald Trump’s tenure in the White House posted on social media in January 2024 about her “undocumented friends” who are “welcome in her home.”

Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, has made it clear he will prosecute politicians or anyone else who obstructs the deportation of illegal aliens. Homan said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are targeting the “worst of the worst” during this first phase.

Over the weekend, Homan told Fox News that sanctuary cities cannot stop ICE. “We’re going to keep coming,” he told the news outlet. “We’re going to keep doing this until TDA [Tren de Aragua] is eradicated from this country.”

In related news, Republican Congressman Jack Bergman (MI-01) sent a letter to President Trump last week asking for one of the illegal aliens arrested at the northern border to be sent to Guantanamo since he is a member of TDA.

The Lansing House is also putting sanctuary cities on notice. House Resolution 19 would ban communities with sanctuary policies from receiving additional state funding. The state funding would be cut off if those cities refused to cooperate with federal immigration officials.
