DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – While problems at the U.S. southern border get most of the attention in the national news markets, border control agents are busy keeping illegal aliens out of Michigan.

The Sault Ste. Marie Station is busy.

Over the weekend, Sault Ste. Marie Station Agents arrested a suspected Tren De Aragua (TDA) gang member in a traffic stop. Law enforcement in Oakland County suspect transnational gang members are to blame for high-end home invasions that have taken place for more than a year.

In addition, border agents from the same sector arrested an illegal alien from from Uzbekistan on Monday. The agency classified the person as a “special interest alien,” or a person from countries identified and suspected of posing a national security threat.

Meanwhile in Wayne County, Gibraltar Station agents arrested an illegal alien on Tuesday during a traffic stop. Agents said they arrested the unlicensed Mexican National since he was driving with an open container of alcohol. He was removed from the U.S. in 2006 for felony drug conviction of cocaine.

Detroit Sector agents will release more information about the six people arrested in a joint operation on Tuesday as well.

Marysville Border Patrol Agents arrested an illegal alien from Venezuela this week after a traffic stop. Agents said the person has a Domestic Battery charge in Illinois dating back a year.
