JACKSON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The leader of the violent Jackson street gang called the “Thorough Bread Family,” Tamarious “Poogi” Faulkner, recently pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl.
“Throrough Bread Family.”
Faulkner, a resident of Houston, Texas, and his gang sold fentanyl in what was described by authorities as unique way. Fentanyl is usually sold in powder form; the “Thorough Bread Family” sold it in a rock-like crystalline form that was often colored yellow, purple, or blue rather than its usual white.

Faulkner is scheduled to be sentenced April 29.
Additional co-conspirators.
There were six other Jackson residents who were co-conspirators and members of the gang that were sentenced to between 60 to 128 months of prison.
The gang members carried firearms and machine guns during their trafficking conspiracy, according to police.
“As is so often the case when drugs and gangs intersect, TBF wreaked havoc on a community by peddling poison and protecting their drug business with violence,” Acting U.S. Attorney Julie Beck said in a press release.
Homicide suspicions.
Jehan Bostic was a also member of the Jackson gang.
Bostic, according to court documents, had complained to a confidential informant that he had a Glock 19 equipped with a machine gun conversion device but only had 16 rounds. Bostic said it was “pointless” to have a machine gun with so few bullets.

In June 2024, Bostic was suspected of being involved in a homicide in Jackson when a rival gang member was killed. Bostic was arrested when he attempted to purchase a 50-round drum.
