WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Congressman Jack Bergman (R) is not mincing words about what he thinks should happened to a Tren de Aragua gang member arrested at the northern border in Sault Ste. Marie.

Rep. Bergman, who represents Michigan’s First Congressional District, penned a letter to President Donald Trump and requested the illegal alien be transferred to the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.

In the letter, Rep. Bergman wrote, “Given the severity of the threat, detaining this dangerous individual at Guantanamo ensures secure confinement and prevents any attempts to exploit our legal system or endanger public safety while awaiting prosecution.”

President Trump’s administration has prioritized the deportation of illegal aliens who are “the worst of the worst.”
