WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – “Betcha can’t eat just one” is the slogan for Lay’s Classic Potato Chips. However, federal regulators say you may want to reconsider that after upgrading a recall of the popular chips to the highest risk level.

The recall first went into effect in December 2024 due to undeclared milk ingredients. Officials said that poses a risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

The recall only includes 6,344 (13-ounce) bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that batch hit store shelves in Oregon and Washington.

No other Frito-Lay products are involved in the recall. Affected products should be discarded. Call the Frito-Lay Consumer Relations with questions at (800) 352-4477.
