ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Under first-year head coach Dusty May, Michigan is back at the top of the Big Ten at 5-0 and on a five-game winning streak. On Sunday, the Wolverines moved to 8-0 at home with a 91-75 win over Washington and are now ranked 20th in the newest AP Top 25 poll.

With that, Vladislav Goldin was named the Big Ten Player of the Week. Last week, he averaged 27.5 points, seven rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game and shot 76 percent from the floor. He helped Michigan to wins over no. 22 UCLA and Washington. He dominated UCLA with a career-high 36 points, seven rebounds, and nine free throws. His 36 points were the most by a Wolverine since 2006, with Daniel Horton having 39 vs. Illinois.

This is the second time Goldin has been the Big Ten Player of the Week, as he won on December 9. He is also on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Preseason Top 20 Watch List.

Michigan is now 13-3 and plays at Minnesota on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. on FS1.
