FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The city of Farmington Hills has had a large increase in traffic violations over the past two years.

In 2024, the city recorded 15,067 traffic violations, the most since 2011. The city reported 12,250 traffic violations in 2023. That’s according to data in an annual audit the city filed last week with the state of Michigan’s Department of Treasury.

That was far more than the city had in 2020 (6,833) and 2021 (5,696), but both years were when the pandemic limited travel by many residents.

However, from 2012 through 2022, the city didn’t have a year where they had 10,000 traffic violations.
