Ironically, Jan. 22 is the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling which legalized abortion nationally. That ruling was overturned and returned to the states in 2022.

According to Planned Parenthood’s most recent annual report, the facilities nationwide performed 392,715 abortions, handed out 2.5 million birth control services, and administered 4.63 million sexually transmitted infection (STIs) tests and treatments.

In addition, Planned Parenthood says 45 affiliates offer hormone therapy to people who want to change their gender.
