LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The maker of a popular water cup issued a recall involving more than 2 million of its mugs due to lids detaching and causing burns.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission reports Stanley is recalling 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs. Officials say heat exposure causes the threads of the mug lid to shrink and detach while in use.
