WARREN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The city of Warren reported breaking $200 million in total revenues for the first time in 2024, bringing in $201.8 million.

The city’s record level of revenues was a 9% increase from the previous year. Since before the pandemic, the city’s total revenues have increased from $168.3 million in 2019 to $201.8 million in 2014, not adjusted for inflation.

The largest increases in revenues in 2024 from 2023 came via property taxes (+$5.7 million), investment earnings (+$6.1 million) and state-shared revenues (+$3.9 million).

Post-pandemic employment for the city has increased by 12%. The number of full-time employees working for the city has increased from 801 in 2019 to 900 in 2024.
