NOVI, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – High-end homes in Oakland County continue to be targeted by transnational gangs, according to police.
The Novi Police Department is investigating four recent home invasions they say are related to South American transnational gangs that have consistently broken into homes in the county during the past year.

The first break-in occurred on Oct. 31 near Beck and 8 Mile roads. Police say the suspects approached the home through the woods, broke in and stole items while the residents were out.
Another break-in on Nov. 2 near Garfield and 8 Mile roads also happened when residents were not at home. That residence sits adjacent to a large field which police believe the suspects walked through to approach the home.
In addition, two home invasions are recorded for Nov. 15. The first happened near Garfield and 8 Mile roads. Within two hours, police say the gangs broke into a home near Haggerty and 8 Mile roads. Both homes sit near wooded areas.
