DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Since 1980, the MLB has given the Silver Slugger Award to the best offensive performers. Outfielder Riley Greene and second baseman Colt Keith are up for the award this year.

Keith is one of the four second basemen named and hits 13 home runs in 105 games with a .272 average. He is up for the award with the Astro’s Jose Altuve, the Ranger’s Marcus Semien, and the Yankee’s Gleyber Torres.

One of five outfielders nominated, Greene earned his first MLB All-Star appearance in 2024. He hit 24 home runs with 74 RBI and had a .231 batting average in the postseason.

The winner for each position will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6:00 p.m. on the MLB Network.
