STURGIS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 21-year-old St. Joseph County woman has been arraigned on charges of open murder in the death of her toddler.
Paige Nichole Bohne has been denied bond. Police responded to a trailer park on Thursday after a call for an unresponsive two-year-old came in. Medics could not revive the child.

Undersheriff Jason Bingaman said the responding law enforcement officers made their best efforts to revive the child. “The loss of someone is always difficult, but the loss of a child is especially tragic, and it impacts the whole community,” Bingaman said.
Bohne is being housed at the St. Joseph County jail.
