DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit “Bad Boys” era is back. At least the look of the “Bad Boys” is back as the NIKE unveiled the NBA City Edition for Detroit, paying homage to the 1989 and 1990 NBA Championship teams.
The uniforms are colored in a “bone” and play on the skull and crossbones theme inspired “Bad Boys” logo. There are orange jersey numbers, an orange stripe down the side of the uniform, and a repeating 89-90 monochromatic number design. The jersey lock tag features a unique back-2-back emblem in honor of Chuck Daly and his three straight NBA Finals appearances.

Detroit will wear the uniforms 13 times this season, including six at home, coinciding with City Edition Nights. On those nights, a special “Bad Boys”-designed court will be on display with a “Detroit” classic script font on the center count.
