LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Losing Michigan’s U.S. Senate race last week to Democrat Elissa Slotkin may be a blessing in disguise for GOP contender Mike Rogers.

The former congressman and FBI special agent has met with President-elect Trump’s transition team about possibly serving as FBI director, according to Fox News reports. Rogers also worked served as chair of the House Intelligence Committee during the final years of his 10-year stint in Congress.
