DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Wolverine Packing Co. in Detroit is recalling more than 167,000 pounds of ground beef it shipped to restaurants nationwide due to possible E. coli contamination.
So far, 15 patients have been reported ill in Minnesota in the past two weeks, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Service.

People with E. coli infections may have symptoms including severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Most people can recover within a week without treatment; others can develop serious kidney problems and require hospitalization.
