Updated 8:25 PM ET – Slotkin Ahead of Rogers in Early Numbers
As polls close across Michigan, early numbers show Democratic incumbent Elissa Slotkin with a lead over Republican challenger Mike Rogers. With only 4.96% of precincts reporting, the Detroit News has Slotkin currently holding 57.7% of the vote compared to Rogers’ 39.7%.

Republican Rogers served as the U.S. representative for Michigan’s 8th congressional district from 2001 to 2015 while Slotkin currently serves as the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, stretching from Lansing to the outer northern suburbs of Detroit.
