WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Two politicians from Michigan will represent major leadership roles in the U.S. House of Representatives.

U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Ann Arbor) won reelection Tuesday to her post as leader of House Democrats’ messaging arm.

“The job of the DPCC is to ensure that House Dems are unified in their message and ensure that it reaches every corner, every demographic, every place in this country. And we’ve got to do a better job,” Dingell told reporters.

The Nov. 5 election flipped the House’s Democrat majority to Republican.

Dingell is the second member from Michigan to win a caucus leadership. Republican U.S. Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Bruce Township) was elected last Wednesday as chair of the House Republican Conference. That is the No. 4 position in House GOP leadership.
