LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A crash and a fire on I-96 in Ingham County on Saturday night killed four people and injured 17 others, Michigan State Police report.
The crash happened around 11:40 p.m. on I-96 near the M-52 overpass in Webberville. A semi-truck driver could not stop his vehicle for upcoming backed-up traffic. The semi hit several vehicles and caught fire. Police say 15 vehicles were involved in the crash.

Police say troopers from the Lansing and Brighton Post were working a detail with a power crew to string power lines across the interstate. Troopers stopped traffic and had just reopened the interstate when the crash occurred.
Conditions of the injured people are not being made public now.
