LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Walgreens plans to close about 1,200 locations over the next three years as the drugstore chain seeks to turnaround its business.

On Tuesday morning, the company said roughly 500 of those store closures will come in the current fiscal year. The company did not specify where the store closings would take place. Walgreens operates 8,700 stores throughout the U.S.
