DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Election integrity in Michigan has secured a huge win, according to the Donald Trump campaign.

The Republican National Convention (RNC), the Michigan GOP, and chairs of the Wayne County Republican committee said the City of Detroit agreed to hire at least one Republican poll worker in each location for the November election.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley stated, “Detroit will now change its election processes so that Republican poll workers will be allocated to all voting locations and, as nearly as possible, an equal number of Republicans will be hired this November.” He continued by saying, “This will bring much-needed transparency and accountability to Detroit’s election system and ensure that a more equal number of Republicans and Democrats work Detroit’s polls.”

The groups sued Detroit in August for failing to hire a sufficient number of Republican election inspectors as required by Michigan law. The lawsuit forced Detroit to change its processes and protocols to correct what Trump’s campaign called an “imbalance” in party representation.

“We will keep fighting in Michigan and across the country to ensure legal, accurate, secure and honest elections this November,” Trump’s campaign said.
