The dip comes as a relief to drivers who saw gas hovering around $3.46 a month ago.

No matter what drivers are paying at the pump, AAA recommends these saving tips:

• Combine errands to limit driving time.
• Shop around for the best gas prices in your community.
• Consider paying cash and avoid credit card fees which some retailers charge.
• Remove excess weight in your vehicle.
• Drive conservatively to help fuel economy.
