LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is cautioning residents statewide to be careful as fire danger remains high throughout the weekend.
Over the past week, 26 wildfires burned throughout 170 acres of land in Michigan. The DNR set restrictions and advisories for potentially dangerous activities. In addition, many fire departments are not issuing “debris burn permits.”

Conditions throughout the state remain “abnormally dry” and are expected to persist throughout the weekend. Call 911 if you see a wildfire.
