Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said officials found some of the dead dogs in a freezer and on the basement floor. All the dogs were small breeds. Necropsies will be performed to determine the cause of their deaths. Many of the surviving animals have Parvo, a virus contagious among canines that can cause death if untreated.
