DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit Pistons are tipping their season off on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. against the Indiana Pacers. As they look ahead to the next chapter, they’re hoping to turn the page on last year’s record.

The Pistons’ fresh start includes new coaches, a new front office, and a few new players. Last year’s tumultuous season handed the franchise its worst record (14 wins and 68 losses) including a staggering 28-game losing streak.

The Pistons do have an advantage in key returners like Jaden Ivey, Ausur Thompson, and Cade Cunningham. Newcomer Tobias Harris rounds out the roster. J.B. Bickerstaff boasts his first year as the Pistons coach.

However, the Pistons may face a bit of a battle as the core of the Pacers squad that made the 2024 Eastern Conference finals are expected on the court. Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner will take the floor while Rick Carlisle enters his fourth season of his second go-around as the Pacers coach.
