MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Mackinac Island is winding down the tourist season this weekend with trick-or-treating.

The weekend of Oct. 25-27 will marks the last big weekend before most island businesses close for the season, and downtown shops will be passing out candy. In addition to candy and costumes, the weekend features the Great Turtle Trail Run and Halloween costume parties for adults throughout island establishments.

Anyone worried about a sugar rush can take in the fall colors. Foliage on Mackinac Island and in Northern Michigan is reaching its autumn peak.
